Narrative Assessment - Maths - 12 May 2016

We have been using the geometric boards to make shapes and talk about their properties.  Louis spent a block in iDevelop to create a playground made up of shapes.  He thought about the size of each piece and how the equipment could be used.

Louis was very proud of his design and was confident to share with others.
Key Competencies/Vision Principles
Louis demonstrated Curiousity when using the ‘geo board’ to create his playground equipment.  He is an active thinker who thought through what he wanted to do and made changes when it didn’t look right.

  • Show another Learner how to make a design like this
  • Talk about the shapes that he is making - are they symetrical?
  • Create a more complex design
